As Garber Farms, Inc. (GFI) grew we found the need to help other carriers find loads for their trucks. Garber Brokerage, Inc. (GBI) was established in 1995 as a bulk transportation brokerage company to answer this need. Since then GBI has built a solid-base of contracted trucks and companies that can provide many types of trailers; such as, walking-floors, dumps, flats, vans and hoppers to virtually any type of trailer necessary for customer satisfaction. GBI has answered the need for many companies that need a company to handle their "Total Logistics" needs, whether they are to handle 1 load per day or 1 move of 20 to 40 loads in a short time period. GBI operates with brokerage authority from ICC/MC 290954 and PA PUC 112204.

We have a number of independent carriers that we help to fill their trucks every day. We have some Owner-Operators that have been working with us for many years.

• What are our requirements for a new GBI carrier?
  • You must own your own Truck
  • You can either own your own trailer or lease a trailer from us.
  • You must have your own Insurance including
    • Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in coverage
    • Cargo insurance with a minimum of $50,000 in coverage, some loads require additional coverage
  • You must be a safe driver and have a good record of "On Time" deliveries
  • You are required to keep your own records including
    • DOT Log & safety required record keeping
    • Mileage & Fuel records for local, state & federal government regulations
  • You are required to hold valid ICC/MC and/or PUC Authority
